“ The quick review: this was a great visit, the food was really tasty and well crafted, quickly made, fun to eat (although I had to use a fork on the burger because it was so large, and a little messy) and really satisfying. But you should read the whole review: My wife and I were watching our daughter's dog and took a little trip to Muncie. Curious, I searched for dog friendly restaurants and Roots came up. We were seated on the patio and there were other dogs there. They were dog friendly, but unfortunately, "out of dog bowls" and they didn't want to use a regular dish... So that was a negative for us, but I'll not let that detract from the overall rating. Parking was free in back if you used the QR code posted in at the welcome desk. I had a double Hoosier Burger - which is a lot more food than I usually eat. 2 smashed patties (a half pound), ham, egg, cole slaw, and Muenster cheese. I'm a fan of slaw on burgers, and this was a really good mix. If you look at my picture of that burger, I think you can see why I needed a fork! I did opt for their standard tater tots as the side... They were good, but normal, so next time I'll try a different one. The burger exceeded my expectations, except that I expected to eat half the burger and save the rest for later but I ended up eating all of it. My wife had a Truth Burger and it's main features are crispy fried onions and ranch, which she also liked. The Roots logo is burnt into the bun and that also gives it a fun, crafted look. So with the dog bowl and tater tots, and x overall value... I could easily rate this a 4 star, maybe 4.5 if I could, but this was the best burger I've had out in several months, enough to round up. Yep. ”

“ We went on a Sunday at about 330pm. It was not busy at all. Our server was very friendly, attentive and punctual. Food came out very quickly. Chicken enchilada soup was delicious. My daughter got the chicken stripe and tater tots. The tots were really crispy even after they cooled down. I would go back just for those. I got the pub nachos. They were really good except the cheese was not melted at all. Strange for nachos but they had lots of flavor so I did not complain. The kids meal was free because it was Sunday, so that was a bonus! Overall, if im ever in muncie again, I would definitely go to roots again. ”

“ The burgers are really good... and tater tots where perfectly done, with the fry sauce it's a great combo. The waiting staff where friendly and the manager was really nice. The only negative was the coleslaw, I didnt like it but that's my preference.. Give it a try ”
